In the context of managing diary access within your application, the following information outlines various scenarios and methods to control user access effectively. Understanding these scenarios will empower you to make informed decisions about the privacy and security settings of your Diary component.
Scenario 1:
Enable Public Access to Diary Entries - Enabled.
Enable Users to Hide Diary Entries from the Admin Based on their Preference - Enabled.
In this scenario, when your app users try to create a new diary entry, they'll be given two options to share the diary:
- "Public - Accessible to all users and the app admin.
- "For My Eyes Only" - Only accessible to the app user who created the entry.
Scenario 2:
Enable Public Access to Diary Entries - Disabled
Enable Users to Hide Diary Entries from the Admin Based on their Preference - Enabled
In this scenario, when your app users try to create a new diary entry, they'll be given only one option (For My Eyes Only). This means all entries created by them will only be accessible to them and they cannot share it with other app users. If the toggle is not enabled, the diary entries can still be accessed by the app admin.
Scenario 3:
Enable Public Access to Diary Entries - Enabled
Enable Users to Hide Diary Entries from the Admin Based on their Preference - Disabled
In this scenario, when your app users try to create a new diary entry, they'll be given one option (Public). This means that their Diary entries will be accessible to all app users and the app admin. If the toggle is not enabled, the Diary entries can be accessed by the user who created the entries as well as the app admin.
